First Fish on the Fly for 2019
Posted on March 26 2019
The winter in Utah has been fantastic. With plenty of snow for powder days on the mountains, skiing and riding conditions have been all time. Its been a while since we have had some time to hit the river and toss some bugs at fish.
I decided to get out and hit the Middle Provo River in Heber Utah and see if I could get a few fish in the net.
Fly fishing the Middle Provo River can be very challenging. These fish see a lot of fishing pressure, and get rather picky be default. Getting everything right from bug selection to maintaining a proper drift is paramount. I've found that euro or tight line nymphing is quite effective on this type of river.
Let me know what you guys think of the video in the comments on you tube. Do you guys want more instructional type videos or ones that have a little of both- good tips and good fishing?
