Deer Valley Trail Dig Day
Posted on June 09 2016
For years our small crew has taken it upon ourselves to maintain down hill trails here in Park City. Downhill mountain biking has for a long time been the twisted step sister that the majority of riders have chose to ignore. We have been stewards of DH trails that are open to the community. This was mostly due to, we loved riding them and no one really took care of them.
Over the years we buffed out, created and resurrected some sweet trails. A great deal of the dh community knew the Ranks for having shovels in the dirt they rode. It has long been our goal to take this endeavor beyond just us. We were finally able to see this to fruition, working with Deer Valley resort and 60 plus members of the shred community we launch our first official dig day.
We set out from snow park lodge and work on one of the best bus ascessable trail we have. The NCS trail has long needed some love. When you unleash a dig crew of 60 plus people work gets done.
I'd liked to say a big thanks to everyone that came out to help last night. Stewardship is important and when we all show up to help improve the things we love to do it goes a long way. Thanks everyone.
